I saw Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest on Friday with the usual rogue's gallery. I liked it, though it was flawed in a number of ways. I could tell you all about it, but why should I bother when you can just Ask a Ninja?
I agree with the ninja on a few of these points, but all in all, I liked the movie. Then again, Lukas is always saying how I like things that are bad... "Kraken, kraken, kraken, kraken!" ^_^
I have to respectfully disagree with this on a couple of points, Mr. Anonymous. While I'm big on respecting others' opinions and not impinging on their rights to enjoy or not enjoy whatever they wish, I maintain that there are some things, in art and elsewhere, that are just plain bad. But then again, that's my opinion. ^_^
In addition, I draw a distinction in many cases between Art and Entertainment. While many things (including film) can fall in either category (or even both categories at once), I would personally put "Pirates" in the latter but not the former.
